Who we are

Envisioned Events & Catering was created by a mother and daughter who share a lifelong passion for celebrating people, honoring family, and serving others with excellence.

Growing up, I watched my mother turn every occasion — big or small — into something unforgettable. Whether we were celebrating an accomplishment, a birthday, or simply getting together as a family, she poured her heart, pride, and creativity into every detail.

One of our richest family traditions was the September celebration. My younger brother and several cousins shared September birthdays, so every year my mother hosted one large party for the whole family. These celebrations weren’t defined by money — they were defined by joy. My mother grew up in poverty, one of nine children, and although my grandmother couldn’t afford parties or extras, she always made sure her children never went without the essentials. Because of that upbringing, my mother made it her mission to ensure the next generation experienced celebration, love, and memories she didn’t always get to have.

She also created an annual adults-only birthday party for herself — a tradition rooted in reclaiming the celebrations she never had as a child. What she didn’t receive growing up, she chose to create for others.

When I turned 16, I began working alongside my mother at McDonald’s inside the Pearl Walmart, where she was managing at the time. She hired me under the leadership of the late Albert "Al" Joyner, the Owner-Operator and brother of radio legend Tom Joyner, who operated and owned 23 stores under his corporation My Joy Inc.

Working under Mr. Joyner changed our lives.
He taught us:

  • the importance of work ethic,

  • how to lead with integrity,

  • how to manage people with fairness,

  • and what it takes to run a billion-dollar organization with excellence.

He didn’t just teach us how to work —
he taught us how to believe in ourselves.
He celebrated his team regularly, honored their contributions, and built a culture where effort was always appreciated.

Within six months, I became a Crew Trainer, and by 2011, shortly after high school, I stepped into management — a role I held for 10 of my 14 years with McDonald’s. During this time, both my mother and I received in-depth training in Food Safety, ServSafe standards, and operational compliance, which laid the foundation for the quality and safety standards we maintain in our business today.

In 2021, after completing the Medical Data Technology program at Hinds Community College, I transitioned into the healthcare field. I now work remotely in the medical records department for a major hospital system serving Atlanta, surrounding regions, and Tennessee. This career strengthened my attention to detail, confidentiality, documentation accuracy, and customer service — all skills that directly elevate the professionalism of Envisioned Events & Catering.

My mother has been with her company for eight years and was recently promoted as a Quality Technician 2, ensuring products are accurately built and meet strict standards before shipping to major retailers. Her discipline, precision, and eye for detail are evident in every event we touch.

Together, our combined backgrounds — hospitality, food safety, quality control, leadership, and healthcare — allow us to run our business with excellence, organization, and heart.Envisioned Events & Catering was created because serving people is in our blood.

We love to decorate.
We love to cook.
We love to host.

we love to make people feel celebrated.

This business is more than an event service.
It is a continuation of our family legacy:

A legacy of joy.
A legacy of resilience.
A legacy of excellence.
A legacy of celebrating others with intention and love.

We don’t just plan events —
we create memories, honor stories, and elevate every moment with care.
We serve with heart, skill, quality, and professionalism — because that’s what we were taught, and that’s who we are.
